... where the wild kids are folds cardboard furnitures...

... Fold school is a collection of free cardboard furniture for kids designed by Swiss based architect designer and bike messenger Nicola Enrico Staubli. The download-able patterns can be printed out with any printer. Follow the instructions and assemble a stable piece of furniture with your recyclables... What an amazing idea!!!! Fold School also has a truly great philosophy : "Mass culture is run by superficiality and ecological absurdity. Foldschool supports craftsmanship as a face-to-face approach to design and brings together product and user the closest possible." Get folding!

... wild kids will have their say @ Mini & Maximus...

... Another great kids brand that collaborates with artists to design their spring/summer collection, Mini and Maximus has a really cool collection of tees you have to see... Once you get to know this brand you realise they have founded their company on some really awesome principles, here is one of their quotes taken from their wesbite : "We like the idea that we are all in this together—that this world belongs to all of us and that our choices should reflect that viewpoint. We like the idea of nurturing and caring for the world we share." They are also super eco-friendly which gets major brownie points with me , all their garments are either made of a unique blend of bamboo and cotton or 100% organic cotton and they are screen printed with water-soluble ink...

... Another wild kids magazine : BABIEKINS...

... Welcome to the wonderful world of Babiekins, I am so happy to have found another super creative magazine for kids. And by the way it is an online magazine. This is the little write up about the creator of this fab mag : "Babiekins Magazine was created by Priscila Barros who for many years has been a fashion junkie. She is a mom to two silly little boys who inspired her to start a blog about all things trendy in the children's market. She loves to travel, a good cup of coffee and you can often find her spending her time in the backyard playing cowboy and indian with her two little buckaroos."

... wild wild marionnettes...

... The designer Juan Pablo Cambariere has created marionnettes like no other... These wooden creatures have been fabricated from wood Juan has found on the street or around deserted construction sites... He has also given them a very futuristic look with their robotic style... I think they are absolutely amazing!

... where the wild kids are loves local talent...

... I am so happy to do a post about a local artist, Colwyn Thomas is originally from Durban... I love the japanese style of his illustrations, how surprising... Rather than trying to explain what Colwyn's work is about, i think it is better to let the man speak for himself: "I like to think of my work as a blend of classic and new art forms. I’m particularly influenced by Schiele and Hasui in the classical department, and by comics, graphic novels, Disney and the work of certain Japanese animators in the modern era. I try to balance my work between commissions and exhibitions.” And apart from being a talented artist Colwyn is also involved in an amazing documentary about the plight of Leopards in South Africa called " to skin a cat", you should really check it out.

...where the wild kids are has fallen in love with Paola Zakimi...

... I get so excited when I come across artist like Paola Zakimi. Paola is from Argentina. She specializes in: art doll, painting, drawings, illustration, because of its multiplicity and freedom in its interpretations. You have to, and i mean it HAVE TO visit her blog, you can view most of her work and it is a lovely insight into her world. She talks very honestly about what she is working on at the moment like the commissioned portraits of dolls in the first 2 pictures. She says her mind is playing a race with her hands... You can also buy her work on Etsy ( this is where I'm going next)...
