... wild art: Yoshitomo Nara...
... ok this post could be part of my Japanese addiction post... maybe it should have a category of its own on the blog, i would have no problem filling it up... I mainly have to thank my friend Amanda for introducing me to this artist, I have been in love ever since... The best thing is my little dude Noah really enjoys his illustrations too. Yoshitomo Nara had an exhibition called "NOBODY'S FOOL

... wild kids fashion: all the way from down under...
... Taking a trip to Australia, quickly before i go to work, where i found this great editorial shot by polynesian photographer Travis Grace. Always been a fan of black and white photography, it really suits the styling of this shoot. I love the simplicity of it with the clean lines of the white background. I also have a bit of a hat fetish and own far too many of them, and really like them on kids too, especially on the 4th picture with that little grumpy face...too cute!

... wild kids fashion: dark denim at Kid's Wear...
... This amazing story was shot by no other but Achim Lippoth, founder of Kid's wear magazine. I am so happy to have found this great kids magazine, it has a very edgy outlook onto kids fashion and culture. This editorial is dark and moody which really suits this denim story. I especially love the rockabilly style of the boy in the 3rd picture. Fashion trends come and go, but denim is forever... It is that one item that my little dude wears pretty much everyday, it is a no brainer to reach for in the morning when u r still half asleep and getting him ready for school...

... Japanese addiction...
... I have what you could call "a thing" for Japan, I am completely addicted to sushi and must have it at least once a week ( Minato's Aga dashi is to die for), I have beautiful vintage pictures of Geishas on my walls as well as tattooed on my back... so I guess it is not so surprising that, when I first saw these pictures, I wanted to know more about the photographer. His name Osamu Yokonami. I especially enjoy this serie of pictures because of the strong reference to traditional Japanese culture... His website also has an amazing series of children's portraits called "100 Children"which is definitely worth checking out.

...wild kids art: awaken your inner wild kid ...
... Kareena Zerefos is an artist from Australia. Her work evokes a delicate balance between solitude and companionship ... She often captures young children in moments of endearing expression as they discover their imaginary worlds. It is the kind of art i would love to have in my kid's room, it is the kind of art i would love to have in my home period... I feel like being transported into another world when i look at her work...
