... wild kids book : an alphabet like no other...

... " The Gashlycrumb Tinies" by Edward Gorey is not your ordinary alphabet and you might want to wait a few years before sharing this book with your kids..  "Gorey's sinister little tales about haunted, pale-featured characters living in a world of bleak, clouded landscapes and gloomy, shadow-filled interiors earned him a reputation as the modern master of American Gothic... his bizarre tales have found an affectionate audience around the world who enjoy both shivering and laughing at the grim, the grisly and the gruesome"... I completely love this book, it really brings a smile to my face every time I read it.

... wild kids fashion : oh so retro...

... This kids label "bb +++" short for "Buisjes En Beugels" (don't ask me for the translation) is a super environmentally friendly brand for Holland. All their garments are made from 100 % organic materials which is absolutely remarkable. To produce a whole range of kids clothing like that is amazing, and they have done it with a very unique style, so retro and quirky... and i'm sorry but I can't stop thinking that that blonde kid really looks like Beck!

... wild kids art and lifestyle: enter Studio Violet...

... I first came across The life of Mr Moustache when we were doing a story on Gwen loves Harold, Nicky had shown me the book and spoke to me about Camilla Engman, one of the creator of Studio Violet. The studio was set up in 2008 with Elisabeth Dunker , both from Sweden, both from very creative background in illustrations and design... Studio Violet is amazing, you have to visit their website and see the fantastic products they have created : prints, postcards, stamps and porcelain and of course the superb book based on one of their characters " Mr Moustache"...

... wild kids love to read....

... Starting a new chapter on where the wild kids are, after all you can not enter a child's universe without mentioning books... I can clearly remember the books I loved as a child... And every french person I know will forever remember this few words "dessine moi un mouton" from the famous Antoine de Saint Exupery: "Le Petit Prince"... I have read this book many times now and, it still resonates so much with me. It is especially amazing to read it as an adult and see the world once again through a child's eyes" Grown ups never understand anything by themselves, and it is exhausting for children always and forever to be giving explanations". There are so many great passages in this book I could go on forever, but here's one I really love. He is explaining to some roses what makes a person or a thing special" You are nothing like my rose, as yet you are nothing at all. Nobody has tamed you, and you have tamed nobody. You are as my fox used to be. He was just a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But I made him my friend, and now he is unique in the world". At the end The Little Prince has to say goodbye to the fox and tells him a secret "...you can only see things clearly with your heart. What is essential is invisible to the eye".

... take a walk on the wild side with Jeremy Blincoe...

... "Wander and Wonder" by Jeremy Blincoe is a captivating serie of images... I love the way the surreal mood of the pictures evoke the wild imagination children can have while exploring nature ... I want to get lost into this dark and mysterious landscape which reminds me of a folkloric or fairy tale setting... This was part of his solo show which was hosted by Lindberg galleries in Australia last year...
